Biography
Born at Kyle of Lochalsh in the Western Highlands, Shearer studied painting at Grays School of Art in Aberdeen. He won a Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) award in 1953 and from the late 'fifties onward became a regular exhibitor at the RSA and the Royal Glasgow Institure. He has specialised exclusively in realist, landscape painting. |
